If you are planning a golf break to Mallorca https://www.360golfholidays.com/spain/mallorca/ this island offers some of the best golf courses in the Balearics.

Top Golf Courses in Mallorca

Mallorca Breaks are a beach lover’s dream and a Golfer’s delight. Prehistoric ruins, mountaintop cathedrals, and beautiful medieval towns adorn this beautiful island. Golf courses with sweeping sea vistas along coastal fairways await.   As if that’s not enough, there are family-friendly activities, a thriving nightlife, and vibrant beach resorts to keep everyone happy.

While we cannot guarantee that it will not rain, it is highly improbable. Mallorca boasts 360 golfing days per year and more than 300 days of sunny weather.
So, why not tee off on one of the island’s nineteen 18-hole golf courses on your next golf holiday?

What are the best golf courses in Mallorca?

You can enjoy any one of the 19 courses on offer in Mallorca. However, you will find the vast majority located between Palma and Andratx.

There are numerous courses available, but we have honed it down to our favourite five.

Alcanada GC - Golf Holidays in Mallorca
Club de Golf Alcanada

Alcanada Golf Course

Robert Trent Jones Jr. constructed this 18-hole course, which premiered in 2003. Alcanada is found near the sea in the northwestern part of the Mediterranean island of Majorca.
Despite the fact that Alcanada is a relatively new course, it has been considered by several well-known golf publications as one of the best in Spain, if not Europe.
The island with the lighthouse right off the coastline, which can be seen from most of the holes, inspired the club’s name and emblem. Aside from the breathtaking sea backdrop, players are accompanied by pine and olive orchards during their rounds.

Golf Holidays in Mallorca - Son Gual
Son Gual Golf Course

Golf Son Gual

There is a hidden gem of a golf course that should not be skipped. Son Gual Golf Course in Mallorca opened in 2007 and has since grown to become not just the most widely respected course on the island, but also undoubtedly one of the top 10 in Spain.

Son Gual Golf Course, developed by Thomas Himmel, opens with spectacular vistas from the very first tee, which is the peak on the course. However, you can’t afford to be caught in by the surroundings for too long because water may be found on four of the five opening holes.

A round at Son Gual will both test and please. It’s simple to stroll, and the next tee is not too far away. After one of the  most memorable rounds on the Island, the clubhouse is the ideal location to relax and reflect on the previous few hours.’

Son Vida GC - Golf Holidays in Mallorca
Son Vida Golf Course

Arabella Golf & Spa Resort

Now, this might be cheating a bit, as there are in fact three golf courses on the Arabella resort. All three are easily considered the be amongst the very best in the Balearics.

Son Vida, Son Quint, and Son Muntaner complete the trilogy of excellent courses on the Arabella golf estate. The Balearic Open on the European Tour was held at Son Vida in the 1990s. The legendary Seve Ballesteros won the tournament in 1990. The course architecture has weathered the test of time and continues to inspire golfers from all across the world. Son Muntaner is certainly of equal quality and is a firm favourite. Son Quint, perhaps the easier and more forgiving of the three courses. Provides a tremendous round of golf.

Golf Park Puntiro GC
Golf Park Mallorca – Puntiró

Puntiró

The only Jack Nicklaus course on Mallorca, its remarkable design gives it a test for golfers of all skill levels.
This course was created with the land’s terrain in mind. Thus, the natural habitat, which consists of pines, wild olive trees, carob trees, and shrubs, has been carefully maintained in order to give the golfer a very fair but visually stunning round of golf.

The vast practice area, which is one of the largest on the island, is also worth highlighting.

Son Antem West GC
West Course Son Antem

Son Antem West Championship Course

The West course is part of the 36 hole resort of Be Live Son Antem. Son Antem West is a championship course that debuted too much fanfare in 2001. At 6,293 meters long from the back tees. Located in absolutely magnificent settings, with the “Randa” mountain throughout the background. On this difficult layout, narrow fairways flanked by trees and undulating greens are the norm of the day. A golf course is set in the traditional Mallorcan countryside and is devoid of residential development. In typically, you will only observe wildlife such as raptors, grouse, and rabbits. Because of its small fairways and elevated greens, it is more difficult than the East course.
