What to Pack for a Golf Trip to Ireland

Playing golf in Ireland allows you to combine the wonderful traditional links golf courses as well as tremendous Ryder Cup parkland tracks. But what to pack for your trip with the weather being, well let’s face it, temperamental.

If you are concerned about the weather, don’t be worried! As long as you’re prepared, you can play golf all year in Ireland. This island boasts some of the greatest and most complex golf courses in the world, just make sure your Ireland golf holiday packing list is appropriate!

Waterproofs 

In all honesty, If you are a U.K golfer you will probably own these anyway. A decent set will cost you. However, is well worth the investment. Spending a little more will ensure that you get a decent length Waterproof Guarantee.

Base Layers

Sun cream and aftersun.

It is easy to overlook that Ireland has gorgeous weather too, with all the precautions for rainy and severe weather. In warmer climates, daylight can be plentiful from 5 am to 10 pm, even on gloomy days, thus skin exposure must be avoided even on days when you don’t see the sun. So you don’t get a nasty bout of sunburn, be sure to carry your sun cream and aftersun.

Appropriate golf attire that can also be worn off the course.

Golf clothing has always had a notorious reputation. Even before the tightly fitted lycra and often far too bold colours, you had the era of plus fours and pringle checked jumpers.
