For a great golfing experience in Ireland, you’ll need the following Ireland Golf Trip Packing List:

Waterproofs

In all honesty, If you are a U.K golfer you will probably own these anyway. A decent set will cost you. However, is well worth the investment. Spending a little more will ensure that you get a decent length Waterproof Guarantee.

It is very hard to overlook the quality and craftsmanship of Galvin Green and our favourite for the 2021/2022 season would have to be the Apollo GORE-TEX Paclite Jacket. Paired with the Axel Gore-Tex Stretch Pants.

RRP: £289 – Jacket | £399 – Trousers

Base Layers

The sun does shine in Ireland. We promise!. Playing golf on the links though can get a bit breezy at times and a good solid base layer will keep the chill off you and make your walk so much more enjoyable.

One that caught our eye for this season is the very cool looking Aello Soft Compression Print Slit Navy by J.Lindeberg.

RRP: £75.00

Sun cream and aftersun.

It is easy to overlook that Ireland has gorgeous weather too, with all the precautions for rainy and severe weather. In warmer climates, daylight can be plentiful from 5 am to 10 pm, even on gloomy days, thus skin exposure must be avoided even on days when you don’t see the sun. So you don’t get a nasty bout of sunburn, be sure to carry your sun cream and aftersun.

Appropriate golf attire that can also be worn off the course.

Golf clothing has always had a notorious reputation. Even before the tightly fitted lycra and often far too bold colours, you had the era of plus fours and pringle checked jumpers. Well, thankfully there are companies out there now making quality clothing that can be worn on or off the golf course. What is wrong with a well-fitted pair of chinos and a plain smart polo? (Just don’t ask those who have a love affair with dressing in Orange!)

Sounder is one of the new brands to hit the industry and is the brainchild of Cathal McAteer and James Day. Cathal is famous for his award-winning luxury menswear brand Folk.

We really like this Olive Play Well Polo paired with their super comfy Good Walk Chino.

RRP: £75.00

A Camera

As one might expect, there are a dozen different reasons why Ireland has so many picturesque golf courses.
There are miles of sandy beaches, quaint towns, and enchanting dunes around the Emerald Isle. A patchwork quilt-like landscape reveals diverse colours of green as mountains and ocean form a stunning backdrop.
